IndiGo's Baggage Policy On Carrying Power Banks

According to IndiGo's baggage policy, power banks and spare/loose lithium batteries are permitted only in hand baggage. The policy mandates that these items must remain within the passenger's personal reach at all times, such as under the seat or in the seat pocket. An IndiGo flight 6E 6115 from Delhi to Chennai was diverted to Hyderabad as an urgent measure after a power bank stored in the overhead luggage compartment caught fire, causing panic among passengers. Following this incident, the airline has reiterated the importance of following safety protocols regarding electronic devices.
