The Tenkasi legislative assembly election results have fundamentally changed Tamil Nadu politics. TVK did not get the majority to form the government. Consequently, there are allegations that they are inducting AIADMK MLAs into TVK. A total of 6 MLAs resigned and joined TVK. They contested as TVK candidates in Madurantakam and Dharapuram and won.
